In 2006 Mark became involved in negotiations with various Wind Energy developers on behalf of landowners in Chatham-Kent. Those discussions led to a long-term commitment in the area of renewable energy development. Mark has been involved in the development of the Invenergy project known as the Raleigh Wind Power Partnership, the East Lake St. Clair Wind and Erieau Wind projects developed by GDF Suez and various community based projects.
Mark has also been consulted in the area of rooftop and land based Solar Projects. These projects afford individual property owners the ability to promote clean and renewable energy on a personal level.
In 2014 Mark was a Panel Leader and Speaker at the International Off Shore Energy Conference hosted by the University of Windsor
Mark met Prof. Rupp Carriveau of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Windsor in 2010 and has been collaborating with him in the potential development of energy storage facilities such as Compressed Air Energy Storage.
